May 15

I am very excited about Kids Khoir!! They will be singing in the morning service on May 15. The preschoolers will sing two songs, and the 1st-4th graders will sing one song. Please bring your children to choir on the 1st and 3rd Sunday nights so they can practice - right after the evening meal. They will also play games, and the younger ones will make a craft. Hope you can join us! We don't have too many Sunday nights left!

Great Time Had By All!

We had a GREAT time at the Beach Party!! Thirteen boys and girls were there!! I am so very thankful for those who participated... and those who wanted to, but couldn't! Get ready for next year. We'll have even MORE fun!!

Tonight's the Night!!

I am sooooo excited about the BEACH PARTY tonight!!! I have heard from several of you, and I'm so glad you are coming!!! We're going to have a blast!

Remember: Be at the church office at 5:30 and... 

• Bring your sunglasses, a beach towel, and a friend
• We will play games
• We will eat pizza, chips, and drink lots of Koolaid
• You will build your own ice cream sundae
• We will watch a movie
• Your parents will come back to get you at 8:00
• WE WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!!!

Love and Tenderness

I love the tenderness, compassion, and love the Lord gives in what He does for us. One of my favorite passages of Scripture comes from Is 40:11
     "He tends His flock like a shepherd:
     He gathers the lambs in His arms
     and carries them close to His heart;
     He gently leads those that have young."

When we feel alone or totally stressed with the challenges or mundane responsibilities of parenting, it is good to remember that our loving Savior carries our children close to His heart as He gently leads us.

Sundays

I have to say, I LOVE Sundays at Madison Heights Church. God has blessed us with SO many children. And children share their enthusiasm and energy!! I find myself in perpetual thanksgiving that God has blessed  me with my church family, their youth, vitality, and precious children. Experiencing life with the help of little ones makes the most basic or horrendous of problems seem so incidental. "Let the little ones come to Me, for such is the kingdom of Heaven..." There is much to be learned and enjoyed from them.

Children's Museum

The Museum is planning to be open in the morning. To be safe, you may want to wait until 10:00 to get there. There is a reading event that will take place in the Clubhouse at that time.

Unfortunately, I have the flu. I will not be able to enjoy the fun time with you at the Museum. Please have extra fun for me!! And then I want to hear all about it. I am so sorry I cannot attend. I have looked forward to it for weeks!!
